We&nbsp;have been the experts of fungi since&nbsp;the&nbsp;1960s,&nbsp;when a Bayer researcher, Professor Karl&nbsp;Heinz&nbsp;Büchel&nbsp;reached the breakthrough of developing clotrimazole, an active anti-fungal ingredient. A few years later, Clotrimazole was registered in Germany and launched under the brand name Canesten.&nbsp;We were one of the first to craft the original clotrimazole product&nbsp;that is&nbsp;not only effective at treating fungal infections, but&nbsp;also&nbsp;tackles its root cause. Then we created new product formats to deliver this powerful ingredient in various&nbsp;formats&nbsp;so&nbsp;that&nbsp;everyone can find a product that best suits their needs.&nbsp;
To date&nbsp;we've conducted numerous clinical studies and use a variety of methods&nbsp;to ensure our products are safe and effective. Our story doesn't finish here, though.&nbsp;
