<p>In 1910, Thomas Sloan established the Bulla Cream Company in the Melbourne suburb of Moonee Ponds. Thomas pioneered a new method of thickening cream, which involved pasteurising in open cans in wood fired copper. Thomas’ brother, William, supplied the milk from his dairy farm in Bulla, and together they created the famous thickened cream and distributed it into the CBD in an Uber. Wait, no, it was by horse and cart.</p>
<p>Before long, Thomas’ brother in law Hugh, and Hugh’s brother Jack wanted a dollop of the action and they – along with Hugh’s daughter and son in law – soon made up the three families that launched Bulla into its years of success.</p>
<p>The Sloans, Anderson and Downeys all still operate the business in harmony today.</p>
<p>Bulla remains one of Australia’s largest family-owned dairy producers, and the brand now operates out of the country Victorian town of Colac. The rich fertile soil provides pure, creamy milk by the bucket-load – and this facilitates the growth of the Bulla brand and the diversity of Bulla dairy products.</p>

<h3>Are your products Nut Free?</h3>
<p>We currently no longer make any certified ‘Nut Free’ products and no longer test for traces of nuts in any of our products. As part of our allergen statements however we will always label any products which may have traces of nuts with ‘MAY CONTAIN TRACES OF NUTS’. We label all potential allergens on pack in line with FSANZ requirements.<br>
As each of our products contain different ingredients, it’s always best to check the allergen statements on each pack prior to purchase.&nbsp;</p>
<h3>Are your products Pasteurised?</h3>
<p>The short answer is “Yes”! In Australia all dairy products are required by law to undergo a heat treatment known as pasteurisation.</p>
<h3>Are your products Vegetarian friendly?</h3>
<p>Whilst some of our products are vegetarian friendly, others may contain ingredients which are derived from animals. It’s best to contact our Customer Service team who can let you know which products are currently vegetarian friendly.</p>
<h3>Do your products contain Eggs?</h3>

<h3>Do your products contain Palm Oil?</h3>
<p>Bulla shares the concerns of all Australians about the impacts of deforestation and we are continually exploring ways to reduce and eliminate the sourcing of palm oil derived ingredients from our supply chain.   To that end Bulla supports the production of sustainable palm oil and is a member of the Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil (RSPO). The RSPO is a non-profit group that promotes palm oil production practices that help to reduce deforestation.</p>
